my friends and I are a sermon in our youth group and we have passages from the Bible or the scriptures?
storms have based sermon. as problems or situations in life are the storms and that Jesus can calm the storm. Also, how you can find temporary peace problems with drugs, alcohol, sex, etc, but you can find true, everlasting peace in Jesus. went in search of a passage or writing in the Bible that refer to this subject. So far, we have Matthew 6:24-27. scriputres someone can give others? Also, please keep us in your prayers!
Matthew 6 (Amplified Bible) 24No one can serve two masters: for either hate the one and love the other, or will it remain there and be devoted to one and despise and be [a] each other. You can not serve God and Mammon (wealth [B] misleading, money, possessions, or [C] all that is trustworthy). 25Therefore I say, stop being [s] perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) of his life, what to eat or what ye shall drink, nor about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more [in] the quality of food, and body [And again] excellent than clothing? 26Look birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father keeps feed. Are you not much more they value? 27 And which of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit (Cubit) to its size or [e] throughout his life? Psalm 57 (Amplified Bible) 1BE grace and mercy upon me, O God, merciful and compassionate to me, for my soul takes refuge and finds shelter and confidence in you, yes, in the shadow of your wings I take refuge and ensure that disaster and destructive storms past. Mark 4 (Amplified Bible) 37And a mighty storm of wind [p] [hurricane proportions] stood up and waves on the boat, if it was full of more. 38But the same [] was in the [stern of the boat], sleeping on the leather cushion] [, and woke him up and said, Master, Do you not care that we perish? 39And he rose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Hush! Be still (muzzled)! And the wind ceased ([q] sank to rest as if exhausted by its beating) and there was [immediately] a great calm ([r] a perfect calm.) 40He said to them: Why are you so timid and fearful? How is that you do not have faith (no [s] firmly based trust)? 41And they were terrified and large T [] is very worried and said to another: What is it that even the wind and the sea obey him?
